The
Elysian Hills Tree Farm is scenically located in the Town of
Dummerston, directly north of Brattleboro, in southeastern Vermont.
The historic 1791 cape
house is surrounded by 138 acres of conserved land, 100 acres of which
are managed woodland including maple sugar lots, wildlife habitat, recreational
trails, and timber for harvest.
Twenty acres are used to grow approximately 20,000 Christmas trees. One acre is used to grom an heirloom variety of organic rhubarb which is sold to The Putney Mountain Winery.
Five varieties are
produced:
Balsam Fir • Canaan Fir • White Spruce • Blue Spruce •
White Pine
Real Vermont Christmas Trees are a recyclable agricultural crop. Approximately 1,000 new trees are planted each year.

Elysian Hills was named Vermont’s Outstanding Tree Farm in 1988, and in 1989 the farm received a "Take Pride in America" award in recognition of its stewardship of natural resources.
